Both presidents have been vilified as the worst to take the reigns as commander in chief, and both have become cult classics in the field of tyrannical American leaders. Both also have expanded the role of the executive government in one way or another to a disturbing degree. Question: Which President was worse, Nixon or Bush?

Nixon's Offenses: Orchestrating the break ins at the Watergate Complex in order to gain information on current and potential political adversaries. Using executive powers to commit a varying degree of crimes which includes campaign fraud, political espionage and sabotage, illegal break-ins, improper tax audits, illegal wiretapping on a massive scale, and building a secret slush fund to pay off potential whistle blowers. Also for having a very schizoid and paranoid personality during his years in power.

Personal dichotomy: While many feel that Nixon suffered from a severe moral deficit, he is considered to have followed a very pragmatic approach to governing , something absent in current politics (ignoring the whole Watergate thing).

Bush's Offenses: Vastly expanding the role of the executive branch to a very intimidating degree through the cover of "executive privilege," orchestrating the lies behind the Iraq war, Isolating the US from the rest of the world, supporting mass anti-intellectualism, a series of political controversies involving e-mails Alberto Gonzalez, Florida 2000 election controversy, allowing (and sometimes condoning) the use of torture on "enemy combatants," spying on American citizens, coercion, perjury and encouraging perjury amongst low level employees, Karl Rove, undermining checks and balances and all of those lovely "Bush isms" that make this country look good.

Personal dichotomy: For all of his faults, he has the personality which makes you almost feel sorry for him (in the same way you feel sorry for a retarded child who just hit his/her mother with a blunt object).
