Why Obama can't close deal

advertisement

He's flush with cash. He oversees a high-tech political movement. His "change" message fits these anxious times. And, until recently, he had momentum. So why didn't he win Tuesday? And why can't he close the deal?

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I might as well jump on the Pennsylvania primary "why can't Obama defeat Clinton" bandwagon.

Hillary was leading the state by 27 points and Obama cut that down to 10 points. Anyone who really understand politics knows that her machine in Pennsylvania is why he didn't close the gap.

6 weeks and seventeen points is pretty good. Especially considering the two fake issues that were played against him (the Bill Ayers thing, and the whole bitter debacle)

I agree and the media is out to help Hillary in her cause to cast doubt to the superdelegates about Obama. The media plays us like we are just stupid people. I can see through their shenanigans. We Obama wins the election the American people should discontinue supporting CNN,MSNBC,FOX NO NEWS and all the networks that deliberately tried to mislead us in their reporting of the news.

For what ever reason it happened, Hillary Clinton won and can continue moving forward in the race.
